Bags, Wallets, Cases
Our wallets, cases and bags are made from Buttero Leather–a full grain, full aniline, vegetable tanned leather from Tuscany, Italy. Being full grain, full aniline means this leather has had no corrective finish added, and will show natural marks and blemishes. This method of leather production is slow–taking up to 2 months–and utilises only the highest quality of hides, as imperfections cannot be hidden.
As these items are used they will develop a unique patina.
Everyday care
To clean wipe over with a soft dry cloth. Avoid contact with liquids as they may stain the leather.
This leather can be conditioned using a neutral conditioning cream.
Spills and stains
Typically water won’t leave any long lasting marks, however if you’re concerned the below steps can help to minimise any risks.
Start by drawing out as much moisture as possible with a clean cloth or paper towel, being careful to not spread the stain. If the piece has soaked through leave it to air dry at room temperature for a few days, away from heaters, direct sunlight or other direct heat sources. Once fully dry, apply a neutral conditioning cream to the leather.
Belts
Our belts are made from Sedgwick Bridle leather, produced in Walsall, England. Considered some of the finest bridle leather in the world, this leather has been tanned to be particularly hard wearing and long lasting. Sedgwick Bridle leather is finished with an open grain, has a smooth finish and is free from imperfections.
Everyday care
We recommend applying a conditioning cream to both the grain and flesh side when the leather starts to look or feel dry, and allowing to dry before buffing.
Spills and stains
If your belt happens to get soaking wet it should be allowed to dry at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or other direct heat source for a few days. Once dry apply a neutral conditioning cream to the leather on both the grain and flesh side, allowing it to dry before buffing.
